About the course

Laranjal is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course in the Ludo Valley, about two kilometres east of Quinta do Lago. Opened in 2009 on a former orange grove, the 6,480-metre layout retains a distinctive mix of orange trees, cork oaks and umbrella pines. Five lakes, clearly defined greens and gently rolling fairways make accurate placement and distance control important, particularly when choosing angles into guarded putting surfaces. Its landscape feels more open and orchard-like than Quinta do Lago’s older pine-framed North and South courses, giving the resort’s three-course offering useful variety. Laranjal has its own clubhouse setting, while the wider resort operates golf practice and academy facilities. International property buyers should view the course as a nearby sporting amenity rather than assume that a home purchase includes membership, priority booking or playing rights; current access terms should be confirmed directly.
