About the course
Finca Cortesin’s 18-hole, par-72 championship course occupies a secluded estate above the Casares coast. Cabell B. Robinson designed the layout, with landscape work by Gerald Huggan, to follow natural valleys among olive trees and Mediterranean vegetation. At about 7,000 metres from the back tees, it combines generous landing areas with extensive, carefully positioned bunkering, long carries and greens that demand accurate approaches. The course’s tournament record distinguishes it from neighbouring residential golf: it hosted the Volvo World Match Play Championship in 2009, 2011 and 2012, followed by the 2023 Solheim Cup. Facilities include a clubhouse and a Nicklaus Academy. Buyers should view Finca Cortesin as a resort and championship-golf environment; residence or villa ownership should never be assumed to include club membership, tee-time priority or playing rights.
