About the course
Golf Son Gual is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course on open countryside east of Palma. Designed by Thomas Himmel and opened in 2007, the layout measures 6,621 metres from the back tees and combines broad landing areas with strategic fairway bunkers, water hazards and strongly defended greens. The scale can look inviting from the tee, but the best approach angles depend on accurate positioning. Long views across the course and towards the old Son Gual estate give the inland setting a distinctive sense of space. Practice facilities, an academy, pro shop and clubhouse dining support visitor play. Its location near Palma and the airport, together with its demanding modern design, makes Son Gual one of the island's main championship golf reference points.
