About the course

Golf Son Vida is Mallorca's oldest golf course, opened in 1964 within the established Son Vida neighbourhood above Palma. The 18-hole, par-71 parkland layout was designed by F. W. Hawtree and remodelled by Kurt Rossknecht in 2001. Tree-lined fairways follow the natural contours between mature Mediterranean planting and residential villas, requiring controlled placement and careful approach play. The closing par five brings a lake into play for golfers considering the green in two. Son Vida has hosted European Tour events, including tournaments won by Severiano Ballesteros in 1990 and Barry Lane in 1994. It forms part of Arabella Golf Mallorca with Son Muntaner and Son Quint, making it the historic option within Palma's best-known cluster of courses.
