About the course

La Manga Club's North Course is an 18-hole, par-71 design by Robert Dean Putnam, dating from 1971. At 5,755 metres from the white tees, it is slightly shorter than the South Course, with tighter fairways and larger greens creating its own rhythm. Palm trees, lakes and natural gullies known as barrancos are recurring features. The fairways ask for accurate placement, especially where the gullies narrow the available line, while the larger putting surfaces add another layer to approach play. The result is a compact course whose challenge comes from landscape, water and control rather than outright length.
