Meet our partner
An international property purchase brings the home, professional team and movement of money into one timetable. Deposits and completion funds may need converting into another currency and sending to a verified account by an agreed deadline.
GHI helps clients find and assess golf property, working with the relevant agents and developers. When specialist help falls outside that role, we can arrange an introduction.
Our partnership with Fiberpay
Fiberpay is a foreign exchange and international payments specialist for private clients and businesses, including those making cross-border property transactions.
William Stephenson is Co-Founder & Director at Fiberpay. His team can explain Fiberpay's services, required information and checks, and how currency conversion and transfers may be coordinated around a property timetable.
GHI can introduce clients to Fiberpay while they are setting a budget, preparing an offer or working towards completion. GHI remains responsible for guiding the property journey, while Fiberpay explains and provides its own currency and payment services.
An early introduction gives clients more time to understand Fiberpay's process, prepare the required details and coordinate payments with the wider timetable. It does not fix a rate, guarantee a deadline or determine suitability.

William Stephenson Co-Founder & Director, FiberpayThis week's partner insight
We asked Fiberpay to frame the payment questions around an international property purchase. The result is a six-step check covering budget, advisers, currency planning, transfer timing, verification and costs after completion.
If the property price is in euros and the buyer's funds are held in another currency, the home-currency cost can change as rates move. The deposit and completion may also have separate payment requirements.
Planning establishes who handles the conversion, what must happen before funds move and how the transfer fits the recipient's instructions. It is not a market prediction.
Six steps for an international golf-property purchase
1. Set the working budget across both currencies
Start with the total transaction budget, not the asking price alone. Allow for costs identified by your independent advisers, then consider how much must be converted and when. Fiberpay can discuss the currency requirement and its services. Rates and costs can change, so an early estimate is not a guaranteed final figure.
2. Give each specialist a clear role
Your team may include GHI, an agent or developer, an independent lawyer, specialist advisers and a currency provider. Confirm responsibility for the contract, funds due, deadlines and payment instructions. With a GHI introduction, Fiberpay can join the payment conversation while GHI supports the property journey.
3. Discuss conversion and transfer arrangements early
Once the purchase currency, budget and broad timetable are known, Fiberpay can explain its onboarding requirements and how its service operates. Buyers can also discuss whether named multi-currency accounts or other available features are relevant. Fiberpay must confirm suitability, terms and availability directly.
4. Map the deposit, staged payments and completion funds
Ask your lawyer or intended recipient to confirm each amount, currency and due date. Share the timetable with Fiberpay so conversion and transfers can be coordinated around it. Allow time for information, checks and cleared funds. An incomplete or late instruction may miss the property deadline.
5. Verify every payment instruction
Before authorising a transfer, independently confirm the recipient name, bank details, payment reference and amount through an established trusted contact method. Treat any unexpected email or message changing bank details as a warning. Contact the lawyer or intended recipient using details you already trust, rather than replying to the change request.
6. Look beyond completion
An overseas golf home may create future payments for insurance, utilities, community charges or maintenance. Fiberpay can discuss ongoing international payments separately, while legal and tax advisers explain applicable ownership obligations.

Frequently asked questions
When might I speak with Fiberpay?
You can ask GHI for an introduction once you know the likely property currency and budget, or later when an offer, deposit or completion creates a clearer requirement. An earlier conversation can leave more time for Fiberpay to explain its process and required checks.
What can Fiberpay discuss with an international property buyer?
Fiberpay can explain its currency exchange and international payment services, including how conversion and transfers may be coordinated around property payments. It can also explain its available account features, onboarding requirements, terms and charges. Any service remains subject to Fiberpay's own checks, terms and availability.
Can Fiberpay coordinate with the rest of the professional team?
Fiberpay works alongside estate agents, legal advisers and financial professionals on cross-border property transactions. Each professional needs the correct timetable and verified instructions, and remains responsible for their work.
Does GHI provide legal, tax, mortgage, investment, financial or currency advice?
No. GHI provides property guidance and can arrange an introduction to Fiberpay. Fiberpay is responsible for its own services and communications. Buyers should obtain advice from appropriately qualified independent professionals who have considered their circumstances.
