About the course
Estepona Golf is an 18-hole, par-71 course west of Estepona, designed by José Luis López and opened in 1989. The 5,546-metre layout occupies rolling Andalusian countryside between Sierra Bermeja and the Mediterranean. Wide fairways and generous tees make it approachable, but the relatively short overall distance should not be mistaken for simplicity: changes in elevation, large greens, bunkering and uneven lies reward controlled placement. Palms, eucalyptus and wild olive trees give the course a less manicured, more rural character than many residential resort layouts nearby. The course changed ownership in 2023 and has since been presented as entering a new phase of investment. For buyers, its practical distinction is accessible full-length golf close to Estepona town, with open countryside views rather than a private-club or tournament-led identity.
