About the course
La Cala Resort Campo America is an 18-hole, par-72 Cabell B. Robinson course in the hills behind La Cala de Mijas. The 6,009-metre layout, formerly known as the North Course, combines broad linked fairways with steep changes in level and long views towards the Sierra de Ojén and the Mediterranean. Five par fives create repeated scoring choices, while carries across brush-covered slopes make position from the tee important. The greens are relatively small and raised, placing a premium on accurate approaches. Water becomes a clear strategic feature at the ninth and 16th holes. Campo America is the more expansive driving course within La Cala Resort's three full-length layouts, but its elevation and green complexes prevent it from being simply forgiving.
