About the course
Chaparral Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 Pepe Gancedo design in Mijas Costa, close to the A-7 and the Mediterranean. Its unusual scorecard contains six par threes, six par fours and six par fives, creating frequent changes in club selection and hole length. The routing moves through mature pine forest and follows the natural shape of rolling ground rather than a uniform resort grid. Sea and mountain views appear across several sections of the course. At around 6,000 metres from the back tees, the challenge comes from variety, elevation and the need to position the ball accurately through wooded corridors. Practice facilities, an academy, pro shop and clubhouse support both visiting golfers and regular local play.
