ORLA sits on a 29,000 square-metre beachfront plot on West Crescent, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. The residences are managed by Dorchester Collection and face the Arabian Gulf along Palm Jumeirah's western crescent.

Foster + Partners designed three staggered towers that link into one form. The arrangement is intended to channel cooling breezes and give residents the chance to enjoy both sunrise and sunset. ZED Collective's landscape work brings gardens, open spaces, shaded courtyards, water features, guest pavilions, a playground, terraced courts, cascades and pools into the grounds.

Residences are planned around floor-to-ceiling windows, extensive glazing and oversized terraces that open the main rooms to the outdoors. The interiors use a material palette that includes engineered wood, veneer panels, brass, sealed and floated travertine, bronze glass and mirrors. Some residences have double-height living spaces of up to 6.5 metres, and larger residences have private swimming pools on their terraces.

Residents can arrive by direct lift or through an alternative front-door approach. European appliances and home automation form part of the residence specification.

The amenity collection includes a resident-only beach club with indoor and outdoor dining, 150 metres of private Palm Jumeirah beach, a temperature-controlled outdoor infinity pool, an indoor temperature-controlled lap pool, a children's pool and play area, spa facilities, fitness, cycling and yoga studios, plunge pools and jacuzzis, a business centre, library and cigar lounges, three private cinemas and a bowling alley. Dorchester Collection provides 24/7 residence concierge, doorman and porter services.
